According to GfK, in Russia customers spend €23.5 mln. to buy 100,000 smart home devices every month, on the average. Also, the GfK analysts are pointing out that the Russians see smart home as a set of individual clever solutions each of which is meant for solving a specific task. The next step would be the creation of fully-fledged eco systems, like in Europe and Asia. Pay Rings can become a part of this system, allowing to track the location and movement of each family member, manage the lighting, climate, audio and video devices, and control access to different premises.
According to M.Video-Eldorado, in January-June the sales of smart house appliances increased by more than 33% compared to the same period last year. “The demand for some products, such as sensors and IP cameras, grew by 1.5-2 times,” said M.Video-Eldorado. During the first five months of 2019, the sales of smart home devices on Ozon.ru grew by 10 times compared to the same period last year. Svyaznoy-Evroset, a major online retailer, claims that over the period of January-May of 2019 the sales went up by 29% in physical terms and by 37% in monetary terms.
